Our commitment to accuracy

We strongly believe that for a text to be an effective learning tool, it must be accurate. While no book can claim to be completely error-free, we have involved numerous physicists and professional accuracy checkers and proofreaders in the development and production of Physics: The nature of things to ensure that it is the most accurate University Physics text on the market.

We very much welcome user feedback, and to this end we encourage you to send us any items from the text that you feel are in error. We are personally willing to offer $25 to any student or professor who might discover (and be the first to report) any technical error in the text (i.e. errors that are either mathematical or physical - not minor typographical or grammatical errors that do not affect comprehension). Items can be sent to Susan Lea (lea@stars.sfsu.edu) or John Burke (burke@stars.sfsu.edu).
